President Donald Trump has achieved something unprecedented for a sitting U.S. president

On August 5, President Donald Trump became the first sitting president to walk on the White House roof, waving to reporters while surveying plans for a new 90,000-square-foot ballroom.

Calling it “just taking a little walk,” Trump revealed the \$200 million project will be funded by his own money and private donations.

Known for his developer’s touch, he has already overseen Rose Garden renovations, Oval Office upgrades, and new flagpoles, with architect Jim McCrery designing the ballroom for major state events. Mixing humor with ambition, Trump joked about “nuclear missiles” but emphasized his focus on legacy and spectacle, saying it was simply “more ways to spend my money for the country.”
